How to generate and edit images with AI?

Don't have enough photos for your product or need to quickly create a visual for your product description? In Pobo Page Builder, you can use AI to edit an existing product photo, replace its background, remove the original background, or create a creative scene with the product.

This feature is useful, for example, when you only have one basic product photo, but you want to place it in an environment that better suits your e-shop, the season, or the specific use of the product.

Where you can find the function

You can find AI edits directly on photos in the Pobo Page Builder editor, where you just click on the image selection.

How to Create and Edit Images with AI

If you want to edit an existing image, click the AI edit button. Then you can choose what kind of editing you want to do.

What the feature enables

Using AI, you can work with product photos in Pobo in several ways:

  • generate a simple color background,
  • create a specific environment based on text input,
  • remove the original background from the photo,
  • create a creative scene with the product,
  • adjust the position of the product in the image,
  • set the margin.

Generating one image costs 2 credits.

Generating a coloured background

Colored backgrounds are useful when you want to unify the look of your product photos or create a clean visual without distracting elements.

Procedure:

  1. Select a product photo.
  2. Open AI edits.
  3. Under Background, select Color.
  4. Select a shade from the palette.
  5. Under the Show Colors button, you can adjust the color even more precisely.
  6. Start the generation.
  7. Review and save the result.

Generating a complex background

If you don't just want a colorful background, you can describe a specific environment to the AI. For example, you can place the product in a kitchen, bathroom, work desk, interior, nature, or seasonal scene.

Write as specifically as possible in the assignment:

  • where the product should be placed,
  • what atmosphere the photo should have,
  • what colors or materials the background should contain,
  • whether the result should be realistic, clean, minimalist, or premium.

Example: Place the product in a living room that is decorated in beige-brown colors.

Creative mode

Creative mode is used to create scenes where the product is placed in a specific environment or situation. You can use it, for example, to interact with people and the environment.

In the assignment, describe what the resulting scene should look like. The more specific you are, the better the result you will get.

Example: Use a sofa as part of a family scene. Parents and children use it in the living room - they sit on it and talk.

Positioning

The Positioning feature helps you adjust how your product photo will be positioned within the image space.

It is especially useful for photos that are non-standard in size, too narrow, too wide, or the product is not aligned correctly.

Pobo Page Builder works with photos in 4:3 format.

Using Positioning, you can set whether the photo should fit into this space or maintain its original aspect ratio.

How to Create and Edit Images with AI

There are two modes available:

Fit - preserve proportions

The photo will retain its original aspect ratio and the product will remain fully visible. The image will be aligned to the defined space, so there may be free space on the sides or top and bottom.

Fill - fill the entire space

The photo will fill the entire available space. This mode is useful when you want the image to look complete and not have empty edges around it. However, some photos may crop out part of the image.

Use the Inner margin slider to adjust the product's offset from the edges. This will create more free space around the product, for example, a clean white frame. The preview will immediately show you how the resulting image placement will look.

Background removal

The Remove Background feature automatically removes the original background from a product photo, leaving only the product itself.

After generating, always check to make sure that the edges and important product details are properly preserved.
