Pobo Page Builder Privacy Policy
Last updated: 30 April 2026
Pobo Page Builder ("the App") provides a page builder that lets you create, edit, and generate product pages, product descriptions, blog articles, and other store content — including AI-assisted text and image generation ("the Service") — to merchants who use Shopify to power their stores. This Privacy Policy describes how personal information is collected, used, and shared when you install or use the App in connection with your Shopify-supported store.
Personal Information the App Collects
When you install the App, we are automatically able to access certain types of information from your Shopify account through the Shopify API:
- Product information — titles, descriptions, handles, images (including alt text), variants, prices, SKUs, options, tags, metafields, and SEO metadata — which the App reads and writes so that you can edit and generate your product pages;
- Store content — blog articles and pages (titles, body content, images, tags, and publication data) that you choose to edit or generate with the App;
- Basic store information — your store domain and the data required to install, authenticate, and operate the App on your store.
Additionally, we collect the following types of personal information from you once you have installed the App or created a Pobo account:
- Information about you and others who access the App on behalf of your store, such as your name, email address, phone number, position or role, and how you found the App;
- Billing and company information needed to issue invoices, such as your company name, company registration number (IČO), VAT identification number (DIČ / VAT ID), and billing address;
- Your communication and consent preferences, such as marketing consent and the consents you provide when creating an account.
We do not collect personal information about the individual customers or visitors of your store through the App. The App is a content-editing tool and does not place tracking pixels, advertising cookies, or profiling analytics on your storefront.
We collect personal information directly from you, through your Shopify account, and using the following technologies: "Cookies" are data files placed on your device that we use to keep you signed in and to operate the App dashboard; for more information about cookies, and how to disable them, visit http://www.allaboutcookies.org. "Log files" track actions occurring within the App and collect data including your IP address, browser type, access times, and referring/exit pages for security and troubleshooting purposes.
How Do We Use Your Personal Information?
We use the personal information we collect in order to provide the Service and to operate the App. Additionally, we use this personal information to:
- Generate, format, edit, and translate content for your product pages, articles, and other store content at your request, including by means of artificial intelligence;
- Communicate with you, provide customer support, and respond to your requests;
- Process payments and issue invoices for your subscription and any additional services;
- Operate, secure, maintain, and improve the App and the Service;
- Send you service-related messages and, where you have consented, marketing information about our products and services.
We do not use your personal information, or your customers' personal information, for behavioural or targeted advertising.
Sharing Your Personal Information
We share your Personal Information with third parties (sub-processors) that help us provide the Service. They act on our instructions and only receive the information needed to perform their function. They include:
- Shopify — the platform that powers your store, from which we read and to which we write your content;
- AI and content providers used to generate, improve, and translate content — including OpenAI, Anthropic, SerpAPI, and DeepL;
- Image processing providers used to generate, edit, remove backgrounds from, or supply images — including FAL.ai, Photoroom, and Pexels;
- Bunny.net — content delivery network and media storage used to host and serve images and videos;
- Stripe — payment processing for subscriptions and services;
- Resend and Ecomail — delivery of transactional and, where applicable, marketing emails;

- Fakturoid — invoicing and accounting;
- Hosting and infrastructure providers that operate our servers.
Finally, we may also share your Personal Information to comply with applicable laws and regulations, to respond to a subpoena, search warrant, or other lawful request for information we receive, or to otherwise protect our rights.
Your Rights
If you are a resident of the European Economic Area (EEA), you have the right to access the personal information we hold about you and to ask that your personal information be corrected, updated, or deleted. If you would like to exercise this right, please contact us using the contact information below.
We process your information in order to fulfil the contract we have with you (for example, to provide the Service you subscribe to), to comply with our legal obligations (for example, accounting and tax obligations), and otherwise to pursue the legitimate business interests described above. Data Retention
We retain your account and store information for as long as you use the App and as needed to provide the Service. We keep billing and invoicing records for as long as required to comply with our legal and accounting obligations. When you uninstall the App, we stop accessing your Shopify data; you may ask us to delete the personal information we hold about you, and we will do so unless we are required to retain it by law.
