What does Website traffic mean?

Website traffic refers to the number of visits and users who come to a website, e-shop or other digital service over a certain period. It is tracked with analytics tools and can include the number of visits, unique users, pages viewed or the sources visitors came from. Traffic can come from organic search, paid advertising, social media, email marketing, links from other websites or direct entry of the address. Tracking it helps evaluate interest in the website and the performance of marketing activities. However, a high number of visits alone does not necessarily mean success, so it is evaluated together with conversions, revenue and user behavior.
