What does Public relations mean?

Public relations, or PR, refers to an organization's managed communication with the public, media, customers, partners, employees or other groups that can influence its reputation. The goal of PR is to build and maintain trust, a good name and a clear image of the brand or company over the long term. It includes media relations, press releases, interviews, corporate communication, events, crisis communication or work with expert topics. Unlike paid advertising, PR often focuses on earned publicity and credibility. Successful PR is based on consistent communication, transparency and long-term relationships with relevant groups.
