What does Page speed mean?

Page speed refers to how quickly a web page loads and becomes usable for the visitor. It is affected by the size of images, the amount of JavaScript and CSS, server performance, caching or loading of external elements. In e-commerce, speed has a significant impact on the user experience, because slow pages can increase bounces and complicate the purchase process. It is tracked using various metrics, such as Core Web Vitals, which evaluate loading speed, responsiveness and visual stability. Optimizing speed can improve website usability, the mobile experience and search performance.
