What does Order mean?

An order is a customer's request to purchase specific goods or services under set conditions. In an e-shop, it is usually created after adding products to the cart, filling in contact and delivery details, choosing shipping and payment and then confirming the purchase. An order usually contains information about the customer, the selected items, their quantity and price, delivery method, payment and the total value of the purchase. After it is submitted, the e-shop processes it further, for example by confirming it, preparing the goods, handing the parcel over to the carrier and informing the customer about the progress. Orders are also an important source of data for evaluating sales and customer behavior.
