What does Optimization mean?

Optimization refers to the process of gradually improving a system, process, content or performance so that it better meets a set goal. Online, it can mean speeding up a website, improving SEO, increasing the conversion rate, adjusting ad campaigns or simplifying the purchase process. Optimization is usually based on data, measurement and testing, which are used to find weak points and propose specific changes. It is usually not a one-off intervention but an ongoing process in which results are compared and further steps are adapted to what actually works. In e-commerce, optimization can help improve the user experience, website performance and business results.
