What does Online stream mean?

An online stream, or live broadcast, is the transmission of video or audio content over the internet in real time. Users watch the broadcast continuously without having to download the entire file to their device first. Online streams are used for webinars, conferences, interviews, gaming broadcasts, cultural events, training sessions or live broadcasts on social media. In marketing, they can serve to present products, communicate with an audience or build a community around a brand. Some platforms also allow chat, reactions or viewer questions during the stream. The recording of the broadcast can often be saved afterward and made available on demand.
