What does Lead magnet mean?

A lead magnet is valuable content or an offer that a company provides to a user in exchange for their contact details, most often an email address. It can be an e-book, checklist, template, discount code, webinar, sample, calculator or other material that addresses a specific need of the target audience. Its main goal is to gain a new contact that the company can then work with in marketing and sales. A good lead magnet should be relevant, easy to access and offer clear value to the user. It is also important to transparently explain how the collected data will be used and to respect data protection rules.
