What does Internal linking mean?

Internal linking refers to the system of links between individual pages within one website or e-shop. It helps users move more easily to related content, for example from an article to a product, from a category to a subcategory or between thematically connected pages. It also makes it easier for search engines to discover new pages and understand the website structure and the relationships between topics. Internal links can also help distribute authority across the website and support the SEO of important pages. They should be placed naturally, lead to relevant content and use clear link text that tells the user what they will find on the target page.
