What does HTML mean?

HTML pages are web pages created using the HTML markup language, which defines their basic structure and content. HTML defines headings, paragraphs, links, images, lists, tables, forms or other elements that the web browser then displays. HTML is usually complemented by other technologies, mainly CSS for appearance and layout and JavaScript for interactive features. HTML pages can be simple static documents or part of large websites and e-shops where content is generated dynamically. Each page has its own HTML structure, which helps browsers, search engines and other systems correctly understand its content.
