What does Gemini mean?

Gemini is the name of Google's generative artificial intelligence, covering a family of multimodal AI models as well as the AI assistant of the same name. It can work with different types of input, such as text, images, audio, video or documents, and helps with writing, finding information, summarizing, planning, analysis or content creation. Gemini is available as a standalone app and is also integrated with other Google services. Thanks to its multimodal models, it can combine several types of information in one task and respond to them in context. Like other generative AI, however, it can produce inaccurate answers, so important information should be verified.
