What does Frontend mean?

The frontend is the part of a website, e-shop or application that users interact with directly and see in their browser or device. It includes page layout, navigation, buttons, forms, images, product cards, filters and other interactive elements. The frontend is built mainly with HTML, CSS and JavaScript and connects visual design with the functionality of the user interface. Its goal is to make the website clear, fast, responsive and easy to use on different devices. The frontend communicates with the backend, which handles data, application logic and other processes running in the background.
