What does Footer mean?

The footer is the bottom part of a web page that usually repeats across the entire website or e-shop. It mainly contains supplementary information and links that users may need regardless of which page they are on. A footer typically includes contact details, links to terms and conditions, shipping and payment, returns, privacy policy, FAQ, social media or newsletter sign-up. In e-shops, it may also contain information about customer support or available payment methods. A well-designed footer makes navigation easier, makes important information accessible and complements the main website navigation.
