What does Domain mean?

A domain is the unique name of a website by which people find a specific site on the internet. Instead of a complicated numeric IP address, you just type a clear name, such as the address of an e-shop. A domain usually consists of a name and an extension, such as .cz, .com or .sk. For the website to work properly, the domain is connected to the DNS system, which helps translate the domain name into the server's technical address. For an e-shop, the domain is important because it affects brand memorability, trustworthiness and a professional impression.
