What does Direct mail mean?

Direct mail is a form of direct marketing in which a company reaches selected customers or companies with a physical mailing. This could be a letter, catalog, flyer, discount coupon, product sample or personalized offer sent by post. Unlike email marketing, direct mail is delivered to a mailbox, so it can feel more personal and is less likely to get lost among digital messages.

In e-commerce, it is used to encourage repeat purchases, reach loyal customers or connect online and offline campaigns. For direct mail to work, it should have a clear message, a relevant offer and a call to action, such as visiting the e-shop or using a discount code.
