What does Cross-selling mean?

Cross-selling is a sales technique in which an e-shop recommends related or complementary products to what the customer is currently viewing or buying. The goal is not to offer a more expensive version of the same product, but to show other goods that naturally belong to the purchase.

A typical example is recommending a screen protector for a phone, batteries for electronics or suitable accessories for the main product. Cross-selling helps customers complete their purchase with practical items they might forget and can also increase the order value for the e-shop. In Pobo Page Builder, it relates mainly to product page content, recommendations, banners or widgets that show customers relevant complementary products.
