What does Cookies mean?

Cookies are small data files that a website stores in a visitor's browser. They help a website recognize returning users, remember their choices or keep the contents of the cart during a purchase. In e-commerce, they are used for logins, order functionality, analytics, content personalization or ad measurement. Not all cookies serve the same purpose. Technical cookies are needed for the website to function properly, while analytical and marketing cookies usually require the user's consent.

For an e-shop, cookies are important because they help measure visitor behavior and improve content and the purchase journey. In Pobo, they can be useful mainly when evaluating page performance, conversions and how customers interact with content.
