We import one of the finest spices in the world, which is not only Kampot pepper from Cambodia, which we have a wide selection of, but also a few dozen other spices that come from the same farm, La Plantation in Cambodia, which is a fair trade project that grows, processes and packages the spices by hand. Our range also includes great Cambodian chocolates that are handmade in a sweatshop in Siem Reap.

We needed to address the labels. We wanted them to look nice and clear, and to be responsive. Pobo seemed to be a good solution, we got straight to it through Shoptet.

I hope we've got that sorted now, but the big problem was logistics. Which if left unaddressed can really affect the e-shop in a very negative way. Especially if the e-shop is growing.

Of course, primarily for the creation of descriptions which is crucial for us. But some things are missing, like searching for a product by code or EAN. We use Pobo 90% for creating descriptions, although we haven't tried the artificial intelligence within Pobo yet.

Reaching customers is more of a challenge than keeping them, because no one has spices of this quality. Hitting a customer is often not a problem then. But because the product is handcrafted and top quality, it is also more expensive. So it's about reaching out to the customer over the internet and convincing them of the quality of the product, once they taste it there is no need for further convincing.

I follow the development of e-commerce with one eye, because I cannot devote 100% of my time to Kampot. I occasionally hear about new developments, such as an AI-driven photoshop that creates visual content, but I don't go into it in depth.

Without a good page builder, I couldn't even imagine it as it is nowadays. The visual presentation of the products on the site is really important for customers. And when you sell a quality product like we do, you simply can't have an ugly e-shop.
