Today, we're going to focus on the experience of the owner of Bestdrink e-shop with Pobo Page Builder, which helped them in saving time when selling alcoholic beverages online. In today's digital world, it's important to not only sell quality products, but also offer a great user experience and use time efficiently.
To start with a little introduction for the readers, what do you do and how long have you had your e-shop?
In 2004, my wife and I visited London and on our way back we went to a Scotch whisky shop at Heathrow Airport. We were blown away by the beautiful decanters and a year later we were selling similar ones in our new e-shop. We gradually expanded our range to include cognacs, Caribbean rums and gins and today we sell around 1,500 premium spirits and wines. In addition, we operate one of the largest brick-and-mortar stores with premium spirits in Prague.
How did you hear about Pobo Page Builder?
Over the years we have changed several platforms on which we have built our e-shop. In 2021, when we switched to Shoptet, the agency that created our e-shop alerted us to the Pobo add-on.
What were the first steps you took when you found out about the supplement?
I admit that at first I didn't fully understand how Pobo actually works, and especially what benefits it will bring us. But I let the agency convince me that it was a good thing and purchased the supplement.
What made you start using Pobo Page Builder?
First, the agency created the product descriptions for our Shoptet e-shop with the help of Pobo. After the e-shop went live, I tried writing a blog article in it and found it very easy.
What advantages do you see in this tool?
As I mentioned, I have worked with multiple e-commerce platforms in the past. They had various advantages and disadvantages, but we always struggled with the complexity of writing text and inserting images. It took an incredible amount of effort to achieve even a slightly acceptable result. In Pobo it's going fast, and most importantly the final design finally looks to our liking.
What do you edit with the Pobo editor?
I am working mainly with Pobo, my colleagues are preparing the necessary documents. I am writing articles for the blog, adding descriptions and pictures for individual brands and now we are starting to edit the whole categories. There we stumbled a bit at first, some of it didn't work quite right. But after a joint consultation with you, it turned out that it was due to the type of our template on Shoptet. So we have to delete a small part of the code each time we upload the text, but it's very easy. I was the first to successfully complete my favourite rum category https://www.bestdrink.cz/rum-10890/ and the end result exceeded my expectations.
How do you rate the user-friendliness of the Pobo editor?
No reservations. Simple, user-friendly environment.
And one last question, has your investment in Pobo Page Builder paid off?
Absolutely. The time saving is unequivocal. But I personally appreciate the aesthetic side of things the most. The look of our e-shop is immensely lifted by each new article or category with customized texts and images using Pobo. However, it also brings one "negative": all the former texts now look dull and without sparkle. We need to rework them, so there's still a lot of work to be done with Pobo.
