What is the transition to Live Designer and why the transition will happen

In Pobo Page Builder, you will find a wide range of options for customizing the appearance of product, article and category descriptions. Until now, Pobo Designer has been available and served well for a long time, but it is now replaced by the more modern and powerful Live Designer, which brings even more intuitive controls and new features.

The goal of the move to Live Designer is to unify the styling system into one tool that will allow for a wider range of customization options and linking to ready-made templates that will be available in Pobo Page Builder in the future.

Pobo Designer

Allows you to adjust the size, indentation and color of headings, paragraphs, bullets, tables or lists and properties of widget elements.

This tool was useful for a long time, however it did not allow to change widgets indentation, color or background image and was not compatible with vector templates.

Live Designer

Live Designer is an emerging tool that allows you to design widgets very easily and in detail without coding knowledge.

Its undeniable advantage is its ease of use, compatibility with vector templates and the new looks you will soon see in Pobo Page Builder.

What are the benefits of Live Designer

Live Designer is a more efficient way of styling because you can mark up the widget directly on the store and customize it as needed. It is also possible to customize the look for mobile and tablet directly in the tool and is linked to templates. These can be further tailored directly to the e-shop without the intervention of a coder.

When the switch will happen and what it will mean for you

Switching to Live Designer will mean the end of Pobo Designer. For e-shops that have a look and feel set up using Pobo Designer, we will move the CSS created to the Customize section. The look of the e-shop will still be the same, however, to continue styling the labels you will need to delete the original look and use Live Designer.

The transition to Live Designer will occur on Wednesday , February 12, 2025 in the evening.

How to switch from Pobo Designer to Live Designer

In order to use Live Designer, you must have the Generic Label Styling System option selected in the Appearance Mode Settings section. This option switches the mode to generic styles that are compatible with Live Designer and allow you to tweak the look as needed without coder intervention.

In case you have used the old Pobo Designer in the past, you must also delete the CSS code, which can be found in the section Customizing your e-shop under"Migrate CSS from Designer V1".

This CSS code is migrated styles from Pobo Designer and must be deleted to avoid conflicts.
