We have new features for you in Pobo Page Builder

We've fixed minor bugs and added major improvements to Pobo Page Builder:

  1. Smart CDN for faster and prettier images
  2. Gallery with modal windows
  3. Ability to delete photos in the editor.
  4. Option to edit article title

1. Intelligent CDN for faster image loading and automatic optimization

A so-called CDN (Content Delivery Network) is, in layman's terms, a network of storage sites (servers), usually on the major continents of the world, that allow you to send (not only) photos to your browser very quickly and efficiently.

A CDN also has the very big advantage of being able to dynamically change the volume of photos so that a photo or icon loads faster(with higher compression) on mobile devices, which as a result has a very positive impact when Google evaluates the speed of an e-shop, which favours fast websites and e-shops. On the other hand, in a classic desktop browser, the photo from the CDN loads with higher quality and volume.

Another advantage of CDN is also intelligent optimization, where the image is sharpened and the color is adjusted. You can see a sample in the images below - the left image is before and the right image is after optimization.

Last but not least, the CDN is handy for when you're planning an expansion - at any given moment, the photo will load very quickly even overseas.

Technical note: Loading images from CDN is territorially disabled for Russia and Belarus.

How to upload optimized photos to the e-shop

Just start exporting captions and Pobo Page Builder will take care of everything. For articles, you need to re-upload the HTML to the blog (instructions can be found in the tool in the blog exports).

Photo sharpening is temporarily unavailable

We have temporarily disabled photo sharpening - it will be enabled after implementation in the account settings (we will send a newsletter).

Widgets from the gallery category now allow you to display a larger photo - see the sample below. When you click on the image, a modal window will appear, showing the photo in full resolution.

Galleries are enabled automatically, just export the captions in bulk and everything will work.

3. Photo deletion function

This feature was missing in Pobo for a long time and now they have added it. Photos can now be deleted directly in the modal window, just click on the familiar trash can icon and confirm the deletion.

However, if the photo is used in the captions, it will only delete in the overview, however it will still show up on the e-shop.

So you don't have to worry about deleting a photo that is used in the e-shop.

At the same time, we have modified the modal window appearance for a more friendly display and clarity, and last but not least, the ability to preview the photo.

4. Possibility to edit the title of the article

Article titles can now be edited in the editor itself. After editing, just open the"Article Title" tab and edit the title in the form.
