How to set up foreign languages in your e-shop and how to translate labels using DeepL.

How does multilingualism of labels with automatic translations (DeepL) work?

In Pobo Page Builder you can create content for products, categories and shared descriptions in multiple languages using automatic translations. You can manage multiple language descriptions on your e-shop and translate them in one click using automatic translations via DeepL. Currently Pobo Page Builder can work with Czech, English, German, Polish, Hungarian and Slovak.

Important:

• Translations using DeepL are only available on the Profi and Premium plans.

How to enable and set up multilingualism?

Multi-language support is disabled by default in Pobo Page Builder and needs to be set. Before we start working with foreign languages, we need to check if we have the Foreign Languages add-on installed from Shoptet. If you have the Enterprise plan, foreign languages are already included in this plan and we do not need to install it.

The default language settings can be found in the Shoptet administration in the settings tab (basic settings-languages).

1. Go to the multilanguage settings in Pobo Page Builder, on the page https://www.pobo.cz/app/merchant/setting/multi-lang you will see the option to set the default language.

2. Next, enable foreign language support (multilang) in the settings by checking the box.

How to translate the labels?

We can automatically translate labels already written in Pobo Page Builder with one click. Simply open a product, category or shared label, click on "Translate" in the right panel and select the language you want to translate it into.

Translations are charged by credit system.

Translation of one description into one language costs 3 credits.

Important:

• Currently the title and short description are not translated, we are planning this feature for you.

How to bulk translate long descriptions with DeepL?

We can automatically translate long descriptions already written in Pobo Page Builder in one click. In the product overview, click on "Translate descriptions" and then confirm with the button "Translate all products" in the modal window.

The descriptions will be translated into all the languages you have set up in the e-shop.

How to upload (export) translated labels to the e-shop?

We can now upload descriptions in all language versions to the e-shop by clicking on "Upload changes to e-shop" in the menu, or we can also upload them in a bulk export in the product overview.

Important: If you use shared labels, please remember to translate them as well. The procedure is completely identical to the translation as for products or categories.
