Writing product descriptions is not an easy discipline and this article will give you advice on how to write sustainable descriptions from the perspective of semantics, which is very important when writing any content.
You should not underline anything in web content that is not a link. The reason for this is simple - people confuse underlined text with clickable links, and it can quite easily discourage and confuse the visitor (reader). Most editors include a function to underline text in order to get closer to the functionality of, for example, Word, but you won't find this feature in Pobo Page Builder on purpose.
Whether you are editing in our editor or another - while you can use this formatting, do not use it. Content on the web is not a meeting document (where this feature has merit) and has its own specifics that are recommended to be followed.
Block alignment is a very common mistake we see in labels. Text is aligned in a block, e.g. in newspapers, magazines or books, but this way aligned content on the web reduces readability (especially when responsive) and word splitting at the end of sentences. It is generally recommended to align text to the left or right.
While we do allow block formatting in our editor for specific cases, we advise against it, as it again reduces readability and makes no sense in most cases. We mention again that texts on the web have their own specifics, which we recommend to follow.
How do you read this text? Quite bad, isn't it?
Imagine that you will read centred text formatted like this in all product descriptions or blog posts.
